Church Intimations & Notices – November 18th

Sun 18th November:

• We offer a warm welcome to Louise Gray from Kilbryde Hospice, who is going to speak about the Light of Light service which will take place at our church on Sunday 9th December. There will be tea and coffee in the large hall after this morning’s service, to which you are all invited.

• Our Evening service is at 6.30 in the Godly Play space. We will be focusing on Creation. All are welcome.

Mon 19th November:

• Monday Club from 2 – 3.30 pm. This will be a Singalong on the theme Songs From Wartime. If you require transport, please contact Mary Fox on 822275 or Anne McIntyre on 329239.

• United Men’s Fellowship at 7.30. Topic is The Arctic and Polar Bears with Mrs Heather Kerr.

Tues 20th November:

Guild at 7.30. Guild Week – Some Country and Gospel, Hank Kelly.

Wed 21st November:

Book Group at 7.30 will discuss the novel The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan.

Thursday 22nd November:

Vestry Hour at 7.30 pm if you wish to meet with the Minister.

Sun 25th November:

Pram and Praise at 10 am.

• Morning service at 11 o’clock, followed by tea and coffee.

• Evening service in our Godly Play room at 6.30 – all welcome.


All those going to the theatre outing on 24th November to see Motown the Musical at the Edinburgh Playhouse, please note that the coach will leave the church at 9.30 prompt.

If you didn’t see the ‘Young Art’ Exhibition yesterday there is an opportunity for you to cast your vote at the end of this morning’s service and again this evening. You can also cast your vote tomorrow, Monday 26th, 10am -12 noon and 2-4pm.

The Monday Club is holding a Tea Dance on Monday 26th November from 2 – 3.45pm. Music will be provided by George Rodger and Friends. Any donations received will be given to St Andrew’s Hospice Capital Fund. If you are able to help with some baking, please contact Mary or Anne.

Orders are being taken for Traidcraft Christmas Cards and goods. Catalogues are now available and can be collected in the large hall after this service, when sample cards can also be viewed.

We are sad to announce the death of Mr Ian McRobert, who passed away on Friday 9th November. His funeral took place on Saturday 17th November at South Lanarkshire Crematorium. Our thoughts are with his wife Betty and his family at this sad time.
