Church Intimations & Notices – Sunday 8th December 2019

Sunday 8th December

● Pram & Praise 10 – 10.30 am in the Godly Place space.
● Sunday School 10 – 11 am in the small hall.
● Morning service in the church at 11 am followed by tea and coffee in the large hall. All welcome.
● Rotary Cancer Care Concert 3pm in the church.
● Nine Lessons and Carols united service 6.30 pm in St Andrew’s Episcopal Church – no evening service in Uddingston Old.

Monday 9th December

● Monday Club Christmas Singalong 2 – 3.30 pm. Feel free to dress in your Christmas jumpers and hats. On Monday 16th from 2 – 3.30 we are being entertained by Uddingston Grammar School pupils.
● Men’s Fellowship Christmas Dinner. Last meeting until 6th January.
● Congregational Board meets at 7.30 pm. Those Board members not on email can obtain a copy of the meeting papers from the Clerk’s pigeon hole.

Tuesday 10th December

● Coffee Break Group meets in the Godly play space from 10 – 11.30 am. This is an informal café space with hot drinks and home baking for parents, grandparents or carers of babies up to 18 months old.

Wednesday 11th December

● Advent Godly Play discussion 7.30 – 9 pm, all are welcome.

Friday 13th December

● Bible Blether in the Play room 10.30 – 11.45. Please join us for a discussion on the parables in a friendly, relaxed group over a cuppa,
● Community Café 12 – 2 pm. Enjoy a bowl of soup, home baking and a blether.

Saturday 14th December

● We have the team of Godly Play trainers coming through to share some stories and lead them as part of the church windows event. Come along and support this and stay on for the …
● Christmas Windows Coffee Morning and Fete 10 – 1.

Sunday 15th December

● Morning service in the church at 11 am will be led by the Choir. Tea and coffee in the large hall afterwards -all welcome.
● Family Sunday Fun Day – Christmas Christingle Celebration 3 – 5 pm in the large hall. Food and laughter will be on the menu. No evening service.


Next Christmas we hope to have a sale of pre-loved gift bags, but for this to happen you are asked to save any from this Christmas that you no longer need. Please bring them any week and leave them on the front pew. Any size, shape or style can be re-cycled and re-used.


The BB would like to thank everyone who supported their coffee morning yesterday. The total raised is not yet to hand, but is in excess of £800. There is an opportunity to add to this total by purchasing home baking in the large hall after the service.
